Spicy Citrus Dressing

Need an easy, delicious dressing or marinade? I gotchu!

My Spicy Citrus Dressing uses only 5 ingredients (plus salt and pepper…so 7 if you want to get super detailed about it). Just mix everything together in a jar and store it in the fridge for up to a week. You can use whatever hot sauce you want, but my heart belongs to Valentina. It is less than a dollar at Kroger, and is just the best on everything. You haven’t lived until you use this on your avocado toast…but I digress.

I like to use smashed garlic cloves, instead of minced, in this so that it is easy to avoid when eating as a salad dressing, or burning the small bits when used as a marinade. Make it at least 30 minutes before you plan on using it, and the garlic can infuse without being too overpowering.

As much as I love using this on salads, it is also great drizzled on roasted veggies and used as a marinade. I use it for my Skillet Steak Fajitas, but you could literally marinade anything and everything with it! Chicken? Yes. Pork? Yes. Seafood? Yes, just maybe not quite as long. Tofu? Totally!

Spicy Citrus Dressing

Mix up some fresh citrus juices with garlic and hot sauce and drizzle that on your next salad! My Spicy Citrus Dressing works great as a marinade too!

Ingredients

  • Juice of 1/2 medium-large orange
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 cloves of garlic smashed
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Hot sauce to taste
  • Salt+Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Mix everything together.
  • If you have time, let it sit for 30 minutes before using it so the garlic can infuse the dressing. If not, NBD. It will still be delicious!
